Menu Plan Monday June 24th-30th

Getting this done on Monday this week!  Hooray!  We are starting to wrap up our PreK year here with our oldest son!  We school year round with our ‘heaviest’ work being done during the winter and summer since that is when we are more apt to be stuck inside due to the weather.  Our oldest is very excited to be getting close to finishing up his first year of school and is getting excited about his K year coming up!  How do you school at your house?  Do you have kids in the school system doing a regular school year or do you follow a ‘regular’ schedule at home?  I would love to hear how others schedule their school year since we are still quite new at this homeschool thing :-)   So onto this weeks menu!

Dinners:

Sesame Grilled Chicken (New Recipe!) with Grilled Asparagus and couscous

Sloppy Joes with Seasoned Green Beans (a family favorite)

Thai Chicken Fettuccini (New Recipe!) (uses leftover chicken from the Sesame Grilled Chicken)

Macaroni Treat

Zucchini Linguini

Vegetable Tortellini Alfredo

Menu Plan Monday June 4th-10th

Wow, what a whirlwind couple of weeks!!  My middle child turned 2 yrs old and then we went for a visit with family for the week before Memorial Day weekend.  Capping off the week with a big open house for friends and family to meet our newest 2 month old addition and a birthday party for our big girl 2 yr old!

When we were doing Memorial Day activities and parades on Monday (after which we were supposed to drive the 5 hrs back home) our truck decided to start giving us problems.  After checking it out it was decided that our alternator was shot and we needed a new one. Luckily my dad was able to fix it for us, but we needed to wait for the part to come in etc.  So the hubby took Amtrak back to our house so he was able to go into work and the kids and I stayed another week at my parents house while our truck got fixed.

It was great spending the extra time with all of our friends and family of course, but I am so very happy to be back home and trying to get back to our regular routine around here!!  That being said, we got home around midnight last night and with the three kids I don’t know when we are going to be able to get to the grocery store so this weeks menu is using my stocked pantry and freezer to it’s best!  One of the main reasons why I love having a nice stocked pantry and freezer!  So, here is a our pieced together menu for this week :-)

Dinners:

Macaroni Treat (New Recipe!)

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken (New Recipe!) with rice and a veggie

Marinara Sauce with spaghetti and meatballs

Roast Pork Loin with baked potatoes and a veggie

Easy Garden Alfredo

Ham & Pineapple Kabobs over rice with Pina Colada Smoothies (New Recipe!)

Desserts/Snacks:

Cinnamon Pudding Cake (New Recipe!)

How are you adjusting in your home to the crazy summer season??  We are obviously not off to a great start here!!!  :-)
